About Bikaner Technical University

Bikaner Technical University (BTU) was established by University of Bikaner Act, 2017 (Act No. 29 of 2017). It is located in the campus of UCET Bikaner in RIICO Karni Industrial Area. Within just two years, BTU became a reputed institute with modern teaching methodologies and a vision to groom students with strong human values and vibrant campus life.

Initially, one of the main purposes of BTU was to share the workload of Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), Kota. Today, it shoulders the academic and administrative responsibilities of 42 engineering, management, computer applications & architecture colleges across 12 districts of Western Rajasthan.

After the appointment of Registrar M.L. Chauhan, The Hon’ble Governor of Rajasthan, Kalyan Singh, appointed Prof. H.D. Charan as the first Vice-Chancellor of BTU for a period of three years. Prof. Charan, former Dean of Academics at RTU, holds M.Tech and Ph.D. qualifications and brings rich academic experience to the institution.

Under his guidance, BTU manages 1 Constituent College (UCET), 4 State Government Autonomous Colleges, and 37 Private Colleges across divisions of Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Ajmer, and Alwar.
